Stewardship Committee

Stewardship begins with gratitude. Everything we have—our lives, our faith, our abilities, our relationships, and our material resources—is a gift from God. As Sacred Scripture reminds us, “What do you possess that you have not received?” (1 Corinthians 4:7). Christian stewardship is our prayerful response to those gifts: recognizing them, developing them, and returning them to God through loving service to others.

We practice stewardship by sharing our time, talent, and treasure. We offer our time through prayer, participation in parish life, and service to our neighbors. We share our talents by using the unique abilities God has given us to strengthen our ministries and build up the Church. As Saint Peter teaches, “As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another” (1 Peter 4:10). We share our treasure by supporting the parish and its charitable work with generosity and trust.

Stewardship is more than fundraising or volunteering—it is a way of life rooted in discipleship. Jesus tells us, “For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be” (Matthew 6:21). When we place our time, abilities, and resources at the service of God, we grow in faith and help make Christ present within our parish and throughout the wider community.

Every gift matters, and every person has something valuable to offer. Through prayerful stewardship, we join together in supporting the mission of Sacred Heart, caring for those in need, welcoming others into our parish family, and helping the Gospel continue to bear fruit for generations to come.
